Museu Marítim de Mallorca

The history of Mallorca begins with the arrival of the first settlers by sea and our beginnings cannot e understood without mentioning the sea. In the Balearics great fleets, shipbuilders, navigators, and cartographers such as Abraham Cresques have emerged.

The Maritime Museum of Mallorca is a moving project which counts with one of its most significant points in Soller with an exhibition with more than 58 years of age, and in Palma, particularly in Ses Voltes, where we are creating an avant-garde space with the intention that people of Mallorca visit it and feel proud of their history. A space to reflect on how we interact with the sea nowadays and where environmental, social, and contemporary topics will be boarded as well as debates related to the sea. One of our great objectives is to completely open Ses Voltes by 2021.
